Pietruszko is Head of the Centre for Photovoltaics at the Warsaw University of Technology and President of the Polish Society for Photovoltaics. He is also Member of the Steering Committee of the European Photovoltaic Technology Platform. In addition, he has coordinated several projects researching possibilities and obstacles to PV development in Central Europe over the last few years. As a Polish Parliament and European Commission expert on RES, he campaigns for legal support to PV development in Poland and other Central European countries. For the last 5 years he has been publishing the yearly “Status of PV in NMS”, with thanks to the strong network of PV institutions in the EU New Members States. His 31-years scientific career in PV is focused on research on thin film amorphous silicon solar cells, testing of PV modules and systems. From 1999 to 2000 he worked as a marketing manager at an environmental consultancy, where he was in charge of the co-ordination of a campaign on behalf of the EU Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy & Transport, and coaching marketing schoolings for industry and trade associations in the field of renewable energies. Since 2000 he is founding partner of Eclareon – Management Consultants, an international consulting firm working in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors. Mr. Franko NemacCoordinator of the Slovenian Technological PV Platform, Member of the Working Group 4 of the European Platform for Photovoltaics Ljubljana, Slovenia ![]() Franko Nemac, B.Sc. E.E., Director of ApE, has vast experience in the field of energy policy, power generation and transmission and other energy sector related issues (e.g. energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, etc). He has delivered numerous lectures and authored various publications on energy policy, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. Mr. Nemac is a highly respected expert on the Slovenian energy sector. He has extensive experience of working with Slovenian governmental institutions and ministries. He is Member of the Slovenian Electrotechnical Association and the Slovenian Committee of the World Energy Council-WEC, Representative of Slovenia in the International WEC Committee on Renewables, Coordinator of the Slovenian PV Platform and Member of the European Technological Platform for Photovoltaics. Prof. Sener OktikRector of Mugla University Director of Mugla University Clean Energy Resources R&D Center Mugla, Turkey ![]() Prof. Oktik is a senior experimental applied physicist with academic/industrial research /development and teaching expertise in semiconductor materials and devices for optoelectronic devices and photovoltaic applications. He has experience and expertise in variety of deposition and characterization techniques for bulk and thin film semiconductor materials as well as fabricating optoelectronic and photovoltaic devices on them at laboratory and industrial scale. Currently prof. Oktik is Rector of Mugla University, and Director of Mugla University Clean Energy Resources R&D Center running the largest PV test and demonstration site in Turkey giving consultancy services in the field of PV. He is a member of European Union, Photovoltaic Technology Platform, Working Group 4 and Mirror Group, the alternate Ex-Co of Turkey for IEA Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme, member of “World Energy Council” Turkish National Committee, board member of Turkish Clean Energy Foundation, founder member of National Photovoltaic Technology Platform of Turkey, representing Turkish Physical Society in Energy working Group of European Physical Society.
