Rising Opportunities 2009 gathered 143 people on May 29, 2009!

 

On May 29, 2009 in Munich, the Centre for Photovoltaics (Poland) in cooperation with SolarPVconsulting and with the support of major industry associations and institutes organized Rising Opportunities - 1st Conference on Solar PV in NMS and CIS, under the High Patronage of Prof. Zhores. I. Alferov, Nobel Prize Laureate.

 

Rising Opportunities, which was held within the program of Intersolar 2009, the world's largest trade fair for solar technology, gathered 143 people both at the Conference itself and online, via its live video webcasting service.

 

Aiming at exploring whether the new emerging markets can compensate the gap in the Spanish Solar PV market, Rising Opportunities featured THREE SESSIONS followed by interactive panel discussions with leading experts in the field:

  •  1st market session: Status of Solar PV market in NMS.
    1st panel discussion:
    How the solar PV boom in the Czech Republic could be followed by other NMS?
  •   2nd market session: Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and Turkey: four promising South-East European Solar PV markets with excellent irradiation levels.
    2nd panel discussion:
    What should be done in order to fully use the potential of these countries in order to reach the challenging goal of    more than 1GW Solar PV market yearly by 2012?
  • 3rd industry and r&d session: Russia and other CIS countries.
    3rd panel discussion:
    How the solar PV industry in these countries could become an important player in the global industry?
